A Weird Twist on Pong

Imagine Pong mashed together with a dating simulator and you'll have this really awesome game project by David Turpin.

It’s the final day of my blog’ s vacation.

I know it’s been done to death, but it would appear there’ s a few twists on Pong that haven’t been tried yet. Take this one-minute vimeo clip.

Like this, but with paddles

Pongversation combines the genres of dating simulation and action. The game takes place inside the world of PONG, on an afternoon when no one in the arcade seems to be interested in playing. Seeing this as an opportunity, the Player-1 paddle on the left decides to try and strike up a conversation with the cute, opposite-gender paddle on the other side. (From the description)

I know this is hard to believe, but the game by David Turpin is quite fun. By batting subjects back and forth, the male/female determines what the other male/female is interested in. Screw up, bat the wrong things, and you take the conversation down a blind alley.

If this sounds weird, then just play it. It’s quick, easy to pick up, and well worth your time. Here’s the Windows version and the Mac version.
