Animal films are awful. I haven’t watched a dog-movie since Turner & Hooch. It was bad, but at least it had Tom Hanks and a serviceable mystery plot.
Anyway, while waiting for the next Plinkett review, I had completely neglected Red Letter Media‘s review of Cop Dog. Don’t you make the same mistake. Important takeaways include:
- The guy from Parker Lewis Can’t Lose is in this.
- The alleged mystery behind what we’ll call the plot is given away at the start of the film.
- Cats make horrible animal protagonists.
- Even in kids flicks there is a need to ensure that the audience knows the dog isn’t gay.
